South East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO)
The South East Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO) manages projects across 24 countries in North East Asia, South East Asia, and the Pacific. It was established by merging the Thailand and Cambodia Multi-Country Offices. In 2022, EAPMCO implemented projects exceeding USD 95.7 million, spanning energy transition, digital transformations, sustainable environmental management, and health.
Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP)
ETP collaborates with governments, philanthropies, and partners to develop modern, sustainable energy systems in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It offers technical advice, financing support, capacity development, and dialogue facilitation. Supported by a UNOPS-incorporated Secretariat, ETP manages the ETP Fund, launches calls for proposals, assesses projects, and monitors progress.
Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) Secretariat Indonesia
Launched during the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali, JETP aims to transition towards renewable energy and energy efficiency. Governed by the Indonesian Government Decarbonization Task Force, the IPG task force, and the JETP secretariat, it coordinates projects such as coal-fired power plant retirements and renewable energy deployment. The JETP Secretariat produces the Comprehensive Investment and Policy, coordinating with stakeholders.
Role: Technical Specialist – Socio Economic for Energy Projects
The incumbent will support the ETP team, particularly the JETP Secretariat, in conducting socio-economic assessments for energy projects. Reporting to the ETP Senior Program Manager, the role involves:
- Conducting comprehensive socio-economic assessments.
- Providing recommendations for project design and implementation.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and coordinating activities.
- Developing reports and presentations on socio-economic impact assessment findings.
Requirements:
- Education: Advanced degree in Economics, Sociology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum five years in socio-economic assessments, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Language: Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Competencies: Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
