Position Available:
Senior Manager, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), BRAC International
Role Overview:
This role is integral to BRAC International’s core program team. The Senior Manager for SGBV will focus on strengthening SGBV interventions across BRAC International programs and projects in various countries. Key responsibilities include supporting country program teams in developing GBV-related concept notes/proposals, providing technical support, capacity building, and ensuring quality implementation of SGBV activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop systems, tools, and guidelines to strengthen SGBV prevention and response activities.
- Assess SGBV needs, design, budget, and integrate prevention and response initiatives across programs.
- Provide hands-on technical support and supervision to country teams.
- Engage in concept note/proposal development for GESI and GBV integration.
- Lead capacity-building initiatives on SGBV prevention and response.
- Establish monitoring systems to assess the impact and effectiveness of SGBV interventions.
- Build relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders for effective SGBV referral services.
- Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings to advocate for SGBV issues.
- Ensure the safety of team members and promote safeguarding standards.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social science, development studies, or related field, preferably in gender studies.
Required Competencies:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multicultural teams.
- Commitment to quality and innovation in program design.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google online tools.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of development experience, with at least 3 years in implementing SGBV prevention and response activities.
- Experience in Gender Equality, survivor-centered approach, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Proficiency in project and partnership management.
- Knowledge of international standards and best practices on SGBV.
